Expanded Exchange Coverage
In the world of blockchain, understanding the on-chain flow of assets has become a critical point of analysis for network participants. While tracking which address sends funds to another can be straightforward, associating these addresses with real-world entities, like exchanges, is far more complex. To provide deeper insights into these flows, Coin Metrics is excited to announce an expansion of our exchange flow and supply metrics, now covering 11 new exchanges – bringing the total to 20.
Expanded Exchange Flow and Supply Analysis
With these new metrics, clients can gain enhanced visibility into asset flows in and out of exchanges, both at an aggregate level as well as per exchange and flows between exchanges and miners. The updated metric set also provides a clearer understanding of supply held by these exchanges. This data is available for both Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).
These metrics allow users to:
- Exchange Deposits & Exchange Withdrawals: Analyze the inflows and outflows of assets on exchanges, helping you monitor liquidity and market trends.
- Net Flows: View net flows to determine whether funds are moving into or out of an exchange overall.
- Exchange Deposit Count & Exchange Withdrawal Count: Gain insights into the count of individual deposits and withdrawals, breaking down the total flow into actionable data points.
- Miner Flows: Track the movement of assets between miners and exchanges, both for inflows and outflows.
- Exchange Supply: Understand the total supply of assets held by these exchanges, providing a valuable indicator of market liquidity and risk.
